A Tribute

Alas, we have all heard the devastating news by now. Rickie Weeks is out for the season.

WHY HAVE THE BASEBALL GODS DONE THIS TO US??? WHAT DID WE DO TO DESERVE SUCH PUNISHMENT? Was it the untucked jerseys that LaRussa and the Cardinals so frown upon? It cannot be, for the root of the 'untuckem' is pure of heart.

Nay, it was indeed the Cardinals themselves, lead by the treacherous Tony LaRussa, who has hexed him. You disgust me St. Louis, you and your witchcraft know no limits, do they?


And now, in tribute to the great Rickie Weeks; an FTF exclusive haiku:

Rickie, you are missed
We waited for potential
Brewer nation weeps

And a special haiku, bringing a curse upon the Cardinals:

LaRussa, be warned
Your efforts will be repaid
A curse unto thee

YOU HEAR THAT CARDINALS? I pray to the statue of Ryan Braun that you are, my former friends in St. Louis. You have crossed the line with this and we SHALL HAVE RETRIBUTION!

Thank God for Ryan Braun

The title says it all. Every living-breathing Sconnie has been praising Jesus' name since Wednesday when Braun signed his amazing 8 year contract.

Ryan Braun has catapulted himself ahead of Prince Fielder in terms of popularity in signing this deal. Braun is now the most popular Brewer in my significant lifetime(4 years).

Just think back in '79 when the Brewers already had an established star in Robin Yount, and along comes this animal in Paul Molitor(who should have just won Rookie of the Year) and the Brewers are blessed by a surplus of superstars!

This is also how we find ourselves today. Two superstars in Ryan Bran and Prince Fielder. I believe Braun will be in the ranks of Mollie and Robbie Y. It will be interesting to see what becomes of Prince. Buster Olney said on a radioshow that he thinks Prince is gone after this season. I would not be shocked.

The money we would save from dealing Prince we could easily sign Corey Hart long term and even take a gamble on Rickie Weeks. We must have faith in my main man Rickie. Just call me "The Seer". He will break out of his funk one day and realize that he's really really good at baseball. I give him till All-star break.

-Rickie Weeks made me proud and won the game. Prove the haters wrong my man. He was super pumped after that game-winning hit. The win sets up my Miller Park appearance tomorrow quite nicely. BEN SHEETS ON THE MOUND!!

-I run through my mind the names of Hannity, Rush and Levin again and again. Which is the greatest I wonder? At first I could not stand Levin, but those were dark days. I then switched to Hannity after a time and have been a loyal supporter. In the past few months I have come to love The Great One(Levin) almost most of all.

I have recently found the station that streams the Rush Limbaugh show and my God he is amazing. I would place him in a close second behind Hannity and right next to Levin. They are all so tasty though!
