Japanese find Yeti footprint

Link

KATHMANDU (AFP) – A team of Japanese adventurers say they have discovered footprints they believe were made by the legendary yeti said to roam the Himalayan regions of Nepal and Tibet.

"The footprints were about 20 centimetres (eight inches) long and looked like a human's," Yoshiteru Takahashi, the leader of the Yeti Project Japan, told AFP in Kathmandu on Monday.

...

The team had set out nine motion-sensitive cameras in an area where Takahashi saw what he thought was a yeti during a previous expedition in 2003.

"It was about 200 metres away in silhouette. It was walking on two legs like a human and looked about 150 centimetres tall," said Takahashi.

Despite their lack of success this time, the team plans to continue the quest.

"We will come back as soon as we can, and we will keep coming back until we get the yeti on film," said Takahashi.

Oh, the silly Japanese. Yeti obviously does not exist. What fools do they think we are? American fools; that's what they think we are. My man Harry Truman would have a thing or two to say about this...

Yeti: Fake
Bigfoot: Real

Understand? It's complicated, really. That is why the crew is possibly heading to the eerie Pacific Northwest. Normally I would be fearful of any word that comes from the base "pacifist", or "pacifism"- ugh! The demon words!- but this is the Bigfoot exception. It will not be peaceful next summer, when we traverse the woods of Almost Canada and drag that mighty beast out of his woody woods. He will squeal like the ape he is when he sees my fist headed towards his nose.

Oh, the picutres! Yes. To me; and I am a seasoned ape and bear tracker, they look like emu tracks.

Georgia? Really?

Well, I'm sure by now we've all heard about the Bigfoot body that these peeps found in Georgia.

  • It is said to weigh more than 500 pounds
  • The creature appears to be part human and part ape
  • It is male
  • It has reddish hair and blackish-gray eyes
  • It has two arms, two legs, five fingers on each hand and five toes on each foot
  • The feet are flat and similar to human feet
  • Its footprint is 16 ¾ inches long and 5 ¾ inches wide at the heel
  • From the palm of the hand to the tip of the middle finger, its hands are 11 and ¾ inches long and 6 and ¼ inches wide
  • The creatures walk upright (several are said to have been sighted on the day the body was found)
  • The teeth are more human-like than ape-like

They're having a press conference tomorrow(8-15-08) so we'll see. Biscardi(who is a known hoaxster) had an interview on Fox News where he even invited the host to see the corpse.

We'll see what happens I guess. I'm about 90/10 that it's fake and I'm going to cry.

With unprecedented access to Native American stories and recent sightings, MonsterQuest examines this creature that is both feared and revered.

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Part 5

Look. Baron and I love Bigfoot. We love Bigfoot. We love Bigfoot so much that we're going on an expedition to search for one of his Toddlerfoot youngins in the Pacific Northwest. This was one of the worst Bigfoot related shows I've seen. It was almost like an afternoon SciFi movie.

Most of the episode was terrible interviews with superstitious Indians. One claimed that he was one with the earth. Like a guardian of the forest. It was like a Canadian version of Ferngully... The most exciting part is when their boats hit some rocks. Oh my!

I know there will be an episode covering this later in the season, but: History Channel.. come on. You are sitting on ape DNA(so they claimed) recovered in Canada from an episode from last season. How can you not expand that into like 5 different sessions?!

I must say I am looking forward to the 'Prehistoric Cave Bear' episode.
