The pro-blogging will not begin until at least May 25th, or the few days after that depending on my situation and if I'm able to make it to the Apple store. You see, folks, I am buying an iPad. Oh yes. An iPad. And it's going to be the greatest thing I've ever held in my arms. I will know what it feels like to hold Excalibur in my hands after pulling it from the stone; to prove the theory of relativity; to invent the wheel; to see the Brewers finally win the World Series. These are all amazing moments of human triumph and accomplishment. Sadly only one of them is true.
If you're catching my drift here you'll likely deduce that I think the iPad is the greatest achievement in the history of mankind. That would be wise of you to surmise because I do think that way of the iPad. It is the single most amazing thing to ever happen in the universe. Hubble telescope? Please. That is crumpets compared to what Steve Jobs has unleashed. And soon I will have one in my hands, for the small price ranging from $499 to $1000ish. So much variety.
Only with this tool may I complete my task of becoming a professional blogger. It is my dream. It is my destiny. Something will come of this blog, I just don't know what yet. It will have to be used as a means to an end, but whatever the end is - be it running for the US Senate in six years, or finishing Undrinkable - it will be achieved with the help of the iPad. I haven't even bought one yet and I'm already imagining the possibilities. Oh yes!
